New Mexico's arid climate and distinct seasons often inspire a desire for the dramatic, cooler landscapes of Alaska. The prime cruising season for Alaska typically runs from May through September, offering the best weather for exploration and wildlife viewing. If you're looking for potential savings, consider booking during the shoulder months of May or September, which can provide a more tranquil experience and potentially lower costs. When choosing a cruise provider, think about their expertise in crafting Alaskan itineraries that are convenient for travelers from the Southwest and how they can assist with your travel arrangements to departure ports.
